Why did you choose to serve Whole Latte Love Cafe?
My family and I learned about Whole Latte Love Café from a family member, and we just fell in love with the Café once we visited. The Café provides critical training that gives people skills that will last a lifetime. Other perks: their food and drinks are delicious, and the staff members are so warm and welcoming! When I transitioned from my role as an attorney in the federal government to private practice at a law firm, I committed to ensuring that a portion of my time would continue to serve the public. My family is careful about making sure that our time and money go to places that align with our values.
What do you bring to the table?
I am an attorney who has a personal passion for civil rights, especially the rights of people with disabilities. I’m passionate about creative problem-solving and presuming competence in every individual. We all deserve the chance to keep learning, growing, and proving that the limits of others’ imaginations should never define what people with disabilities can achieve. With several relatives who have disabilities, I’ve witnessed the incredible growth that becomes possible when people are supported, valued, and given real opportunities. Whole Latte Love Café reflects those same values, creating an inclusive community where everyone can thrive.
