In Action

Belonging, Inclusion & Community!

Since launching our second Whole CommUNITY Academy group in June, participants have been busy exploring careers through hands-on learning both in the classroom and throughout our community.

From touring local businesses and practicing grocery stocking to learning about greenhouse operations, cooking, money management, and teamwork, each experience helps participants discover their interests, strengths, and vocational preferences. It has been exciting to watch their confidence grow as they develop new skills and begin making informed decisions about their future employment goals.

Every day, our Direct Support Professionals do far more than support the individuals we serve at Whole Latte Love Café and Whole CommUNITY Academy.

They encourage, teach, problem-solve, celebrate successes, build confidence, and help create opportunities to discover what they are capable of accomplishing.

Their work doesn’t always happen in the spotlight, but it makes everything we do possible.
