Why did you choose to serve Whole Latte Love Cafe?
I believe in supporting the North Canton community, as well as local businesses and organizations that make our community a great place to live and work. I also appreciate the mission of Whole Latte Love Cafe and the positive impact it has on individuals and families in our community. As an educator and a parent of a child with Down Syndrome, I understand the importance of creating opportunities for people to connect, learn, contribute, and feel supported. I am excited about the opportunity to use my experiences and community connections to help WLLC continue to grow and serve North Canton.
What do you bring to the table?
I bring a combination of professional experience, community involvement, and a genuine commitment to serving individuals with special needs. As an Associate Professor of Accounting, I bring experience in accounting, business, leadership, organization, and problem-solving. I also serve as the advisor for the IMA Student Club, where I encourage students to become involved in the community through service-learning projects. This has given me a strong appreciation for the value of connecting education with meaningful community service. As a lifelong North Canton resident and a parent of a special needs child in the NC City Schools, I have a personal connection to the community and a strong interest in seeing it thrive. I would bring a collaborative perspective, business knowledge, and a willingness to actively support the mission and goals of Whole Latte Love Cafe.
